The "Black Dahlia" Based on the unsolved crime that took place in 1947,Elizabeth Short was a young aspiring actress when she was found murdered in an empty parking lot (which is now the front yard of a house in s.cecntral Los Angeles) her naked body surgically cut in half, which led police officers to believe that it was done by someone who had proffesional surgical expertise, also the body had been drained of all it's blood. This gruesome crime is one of the oldest unsolved Hollywood mysteries and has finally been made into a movie.Although this is most likely the first time most people have heard about this case,I myself (who first learned about it in 1999) have been following it ever since, although it is unlikely it will ever be solved, this case has been closed since the 1950's it continues to this day to intrige. Many men have confessed to commiting this murder and have been cleared, the most probable suspect had been the father of one of Elizabeth's sister's friends Virginia who was a doctor himself and had his office located near the Biltmore Hotel where the "Black Dahlia" was last seen.Recently a police officer confessed that he suspected of his father who was a surgeon and an unusual man,is the real killer, among his reasons supporting his beliefs is that her lips had been cut up to the ears and her arms posed above her heard, resembling a painting that his father always tried to copy.Though the Hollywood movie probably won't get into all the details, and will most likely be somewhat fictionized, the crime which inspired it,is what will remain the core of the story.I recommend everyone go out to watch this movie which is based on a true story.
