did u guys watch the Pope's speech yesterday??
mann was i pissed, my respect for the guy just went zero..

In a speech in Germany on Tuesday, the Pope appeared to endorse a Christian view, contested by most Muslims, that the early Muslims spread their religion by violence

The Pope on Tuesday repeated criticism of the Prophet Mohammad by the 14th century Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Palaeologus, who said everything Mohammad brought was evil "such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached"

the Pope quoted a 14th Century Christian emperor who said Muhammad had brought the world only "evil and inhuman" things.

did he lose his mind or somethin?
or he just hasnt done his research before the speech?

whatever they do... whatever they say... its just their anger... anti muslim... they want to defame Islam...
coz they dont want to realise the fact that Islam is spreading day by day...its fastest growing religion since inception, still today... and will remain always INSHALLAH....

i think the pope has completely lost his mind at a time like this when there is already so much war going on he should talk about peace the question is whose spreading violence now

I don't know why he said that.I find it hard to believe that he would truly believe that(for someone who has knowledge of world religions).That he was perhaps misinterpreted or erroneously expressed himself is, what I wan't to believe.I understand many people (uninformed about Islam/and just aware of it since 911), have very wrong misconceptions of Islam but the fact is that it is a solid worldwide belief that has remained valid to millions for generations.I am dissapointed that a religious leader would question the fundamentals of another well established faith,when he himself has the labor of fronting a very important task of helping others to be more tolerant.I wish I could find a way to justify his comments to the muslim nation,I don't know what to say,I'm sorry,I can't find the proper words...... My regards to all.

i didn't acutally see his speach but my sis and dad told me about it...
that guy is an idiot n has gone mad.... sachi baatein to inhein kerni ati nahin hai.. aur fazool ki baatein ker ke dusrey non-muslims ke zehan mein bhi Islam ke mutaliq zehar bhartey hain.

he shouldve chosen his words more carefully,,being a big religious leader
doesnt give him the right to say anythin from the top of his head
his speech is gonna start another huge controversy
muslims all over the world r aready protestin!

i heard he appologized, i'm not sure though..

i miss the old pope, i respected him soo much!

i just have heard from my papa and i was not shocked at all, becuase Pope Bandict has already speread confliction / bad mouthing against islam before becoming Pope,
I think standard/ concept of Pope is not like this, and some one given FATWA for his murder.

no actually in his sec speech, he said, "i'm sorry if muslims around the world git offended by his remarks"
he didnt really "appoligized"
now thats some crazy a** pope..

sohno, i never heard or studied about him before he became a pope
but i was definetly surprised after seeing his speech..
