dehshat gardee mai numaya buhut badnaam hain hum
duniya roshan hai magar dhaltee hoee sham hain hum

yom-e-azaadi mana nay sai bhala kya haasil
sab samajhtay hain kehtay naheen ghulaam hain hum

izaat-e-nafs bhi girwee'n hain vataan bhi girwee'n
zamanay bhar mai yonhee baaisay dashnaam hain hum

roohay qaid sai jee chahta hai maafi mangaain
sharam atee hai yeh kehtay howay nakaam hain hum

khoon rootay howay dekha hai vataan ko humnay
vaatan faroosh ghaasib yoon nakaam hain hum
