Drifting through my life
Pretending not to look
Yet searching all the time,
I am an un read book…
My life there before me
Past heartaches attached
My view is not clear
Slightly scarred from the past.
Like an emotional dessert
Its all so vast, so laid bare
My soul is still searching
Yet finds nothing there….
Will someone love me
Can I love them back?
Will my desert be replaced
By love and not lack.
Who knows the fate of my life,
As I travel from day to day,
But I carry my hopes and dreams along
In case love should drift my way...
